The premise is simple. Most support emails for a software product fall into a small number of categories. Installation questions. Feature questions. Configuration issues. Occasional bugs. The answers to most of them live in the documentation, the README, or a known issue list. A well-instructed AI agent can probably handle 70 to 80 percent of those without human involvement. The other 20 percent, the ones that need judgment, need access to the codebase, or need a business decision, get forwarded to the human. The agent does not need to be perfect. It needs to be fast, accurate on the common cases, and honest about its limits. That is a very achievable bar. What I built is not a chatbot widget. There is no interface for users. Users just send an email. The agent reads it, decides what to do, and either replies or escalates. The entire loop is invisible to the sender.
